What you blindly

Don't see is....

What was once a benefit package paid in part by a employer has know been placed squarely on the shoulders of the employee...and or in part a higher % of the total cost...through Obamacare....

Unless you are in a government job, union shop or are a executive...you are going to be screwed...

Redistribution of middle class wealth...

Obamacare is essentially a new tax in most cases 20% of gross income or more...

Lets put it in a simpler terms for you...leo. Healthy family let say make one trip to the doctor per month. 1000 dollar per month premium. Doctor office visit is $165. Insurance company pays at 30% that is $50 you pay $20 co pay, that is $70. Doctors office right off $95 as loss. Now HMO etc.. work off the principle the less the doctors does the more profit they make. So one, most doctor don't like taking on sick patients. That is why a lot don't take medicaid or medicare patients. So in a HMO they have made for the month on one family $1070 have a write off of $95 plus over head of $20 for 20 minutes with the nurse and doctor. That is a gain of $1070- 115 = $955...

Though in reality it is a gain $1070 plus the write off as you have paid the overhead with your $20 co pay ...

So lets say you have 80/20 insurance..,The doctor order labs and a x-ray bills is $500 for the exams Insurance pays $400 you get a bill for 20% if you have made your deductible. So your part is $100. The catch is the over head cost to the HMO's for those test are only $25. Profit of $75, which again you are paying for with your co-pay...

If we had a cost base system with one payer it would be cheaper than having insurance. Again the law also forces you to have insurance and the law also forces the care giver to charge you retail price rather than the 30% or less the insurance company is paying at.

Cost base for Doctor, Lab and x-ray would be $45, however your bill if you have met your deductible would be $120....$665 plus your $45 in co pay if you have not met your deductible.

Insurance companies don't want sick patients...because it is all cream.

I'm a Crazy Scots-Irishman Blue Blood... It's probably not a good idea to listen to me...everything I say is of my opinion. I'm not a good place to get investment advise...
