To be precise, and to keep it simple, if the pps was $1 and they decided the progress and the momentum was right for an uplist to the AMEX exchange, They would minimally require a 1 for 2 reverse split to qualify. That's if indeed the requirement is $2 per share, I haven't verified that. When that's executed, the pps doubles while the shares in your portfolio are halved, so the worth of portfolio is unchanged. The share structure and price are much more inviting to big investors especially now that the stock is trading on the big boards, so the percentage gains would be more likely
BETTER than before the split as long as the company continues to see healthy growth. If you focus just on the $10/share with half the shares it will confuse you. Why? Simply because you wouldn't have seen $10/share until a much later date based on valuation. Those big investors will engage in a certain degree of speculation for sure, once the company and it's brand display undeniable momentum, but bottom line is they will be watching valuation to decide when to buy and when to hold. You may think you were shorted a half mil, but in actuality the price would just not have justifiably reached that $10 mark until fair value warranted it and that would be down the road a ways. Eventually you would most likely see your original share count restored as forward splits and/or buybacks are executed. If you have the time, look at this link to
Monster Beverage's historical chart. This is of course after Hanson's Natural, but the 3 splits shown are
forward splits, a 4 for 1 and a pair of 2 for 1's. Incredibly enough, even after those splits the pps is still around $128. Probably wouldn't surprise anyone to see another forward split if current sideways trend becomes an upward trend and the pps heads toward $150.
