The Only Intelligence-Led Platform Delivered as a Service Expands Threat Coverage and Adds New Partner Program to Solve Security Resource Challenges and Prioritize Response Against Threats
MILPITAS, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 04/12/16 -- FireEye, Inc. (NASDAQ: FEYE), the leader in stopping today's advanced cyber attacks, today announced the expansion of FireEye as a Service™ (FaaS™) threat coverage, enabling FireEye to deliver Security as a Service that further helps organizations quickly detect, investigate, and hunt for threats. Additionally, FireEye has launched the new FireEye as a Service Delivery Partner Program that will provide partners a service to enhance their cyber security offerings through shared analyst expertise.
"The security industry has been overwhelming customers with more layers of security technology and low quality alerts," said David DeWalt, chairman of the board and CEO, FireEye. "By expanding our coverage of and unifying organizations' alerts under FireEye as a Service experts, we are building the first piece of a Security as a Service revolution that will reduce the time it takes to detect and respond to breaches and minimize their impact."
At the heart of FireEye as a Service are the best cyber security experts -- FireEye threat analysts operating as an extension of customers' and partners' security teams. Expanded threat coverage is powered by the Intelligence-led FireEye Security Platform, unifying and accelerating threat detection and correlation across network, email, and endpoints, and powering forensic capabilities. New data collection capabilities via the FireEye Threat Analytics Platform™ (TAP™) now unifies security infrastructures under FireEye as a Service to identify and prioritize response to threats identified by organization's disparate security products.
FireEye as a Service continues to innovate, disrupting the complexity of security operations and traditional managed security service provider (MSSP) solutions with its Security as a Service approach. With its expanded threat coverage options and tiers of service, FireEye as a Service customers benefit from:
Threat coverage options ranging from protection for advanced persistent threats (APT) to full coverage across a variety of severity levels
Tiers of service that range from a simple notification to investigation and validation of an alert, to proactive hunting
Easy purchase process with a simplified pricing model that scales for increasing visibility over time
Easy-to-understand reporting with simple, graph-based summaries of threats and response efficacy
FireEye as a Service offers ongoing, global scale threat detection and response capabilities to hundreds of organizations in every part of the world. Since launching in 2014 as the foundation of the industry's Security as a Service transformation, FireEye as a Service now:
Features seven Advanced Threat Response Centers on four continents for 24-7-365 coverage,
Detects and responds to an average of 250 compromises per month, and
Spends an average of 743 hours per month proactively hunting for threats in customer networks.
All of this is accomplished at speeds and support beyond that of traditional MSSPs, with nearly all reports of compromise generated within 24 hours of receiving an alert.
FireEye as a Service Delivery Partner Program
Through the FireEye as a Service Delivery Partner program, FireEye works with partners to provide expertise from FireEye threat analysts that act like an extension of their cyber security team. FireEye as a Service Delivery Partners maintain the customer relationship and provide front-end service delivery of threats in a customers' environment, while FireEye supports the customer with options for back-end monitoring, investigation and proactive hunting. The FireEye as a Service Delivery Partner program is available for all levels of FireEye as a Service offerings.

The core of the FireEye platform is a virtual execution engine, complemented by dynamic threat intelligence, to identify and block cyber attacks in real time.
