Very strange wording here:

No...I tend to refer to Merriam-Webster for the definition of Socialism...not some opinion. the word "popular" is just plain odd use

And yet ...once again...the author of that bit doesn't even know the difference between Socialism and a Social Contract. None of those things stated are Socialist in nature. Socialism did not come about until circa 1800. And then...everybody's friend wrote that trash "The Communist Manifesto" circa 1850. All those things mentioned existed before socialism....and were part(in many ways) of a social Contract among those served via means of tax collection or volunteering..et al.
