Conservative radio host buzzsaws Trump during interview: ‘You’re like a 12-year-old bully’

Donald Trump is in hot water over his statements towards women, this time getting slammed by conservative radio host Charlie Sykes after sharing a tweet that compared a picture of Melania Trump to an unflattering photo of Heidi Cruz with the claim, “These images are worth a thousand words.”
Charlie Sykes, a staunch opponent of Trump’s presidential bid, confronted the Republican frontrunner in an interview this Monday, claiming the tweet was fit for “12-year-old bully on the playground, not somebody wanting the office held by Abraham Lincoln.” Sykes argued that “wives should be off limits,” suggesting that Trump apologize for the offensive tweet.
Trump nevertheless defended the tweet, claiming it was a retweet and that he was somehow unaware the original tweet compared the appearance of the candidates’ respective wives. Furthermore, he argued that the tweet, which came in response to an attack ad featuring a risqué picture of Melania Trump, was a “very mild response” to the original ad.
After Trump refused to apologize for his controversial statements towards Heidi Cruz and women generally, Sykes concluded the interview claiming that he had “failed in my effort to introduce you to Wisconsin in our tradition of civility and decency by getting an apology from you for Heidi Cruz.”
Trump countered that Cruz had not yet apologized for the attack ad targeting Melania, prompting Sykes to respond, “Do you ever apologize? Most real men, when they screw up, they’ll go, ‘You know what, I was a hothead, I shouldn’t have done that.’”
True to Sykes’ accusations of childishness, Trump has claimed that he won’t apologize until he receives an apology from Cruz, stating simply, “he started it.”
