Honorees will be recognized at the Annual Georgia Fast 40 Awards Dinner & Gala on June 19, 2014 at the Intercontinental Hotel, Buckhead

ATLANTA, May 22, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- ACG Atlanta, the Atlanta Chapter of The Association for Corporate Growth® (ACG), a global professional organization with the mission of Driving Middle-Market Growth® with a focus on mergers and acquisitions and private investment, today announced the 2014 Georgia Fast 40, representing the top 40 fastest growing middle-market companies in Georgia.
"We were very impressed with the caliber of companies that were nominated this year, as we had the largest applicant pool in the history of the event," stated Dan Bauer, ACG Atlanta Chapter President and CFO of CardioMEMS. "These companies exemplify ACG's focus on Middle-Market Growth and represent over 13,000 added jobs." Patrick Putman, Chairman of the 2014 Georgia Fast 40 Awards and Managing Director for The PrivateBank agreed. "The lower Middle-Market honorees had over a 200% weighted growth rate, and the upper Middle Market honorees had more than a 140% weighted growth rate," stated Putman.
Criteria and selection for the award includes the following: 1) eligible companies must be for profit and headquartered in Georgia, 2) most recent year-end revenues ranging from $15 million to $500 million, and 3) three years of verifiable revenue and employment growth. The applicants' financials were validated by national accounting firm and founding Diamond sponsor, Cherry Bekaert LLP, and an ACG Selection Committee evaluated each application and conducted in-person interviews with all qualified applicants.
