Republicans Find A New Way To Humiliate Themselves As Ted Cruz Blows Up On Trump

By Jason Easley on Thu, Mar 24th, 2016 at 4:40 pm

Republicans embarrass themselves and the nation as Ted Cruz blew up on the campaign trail as he reacted to Donald Trump's attacks on his wife.

Quote:
The Republican primary has become a national disgrace. It is humiliating for the country for this bad soap opera to be unfolding in one of the nation’s two major political parties. The Republican primary is now centered on Donald Trump’s attacks on Ted Cruz’s wife. Republicans have abandoned any illusions of talking about policy, and how they would run the country if elected.

Ted Cruz was right to defend his wife, but in no universe should this conversation have any place in a presidential primary. Donald Trump has taken the national discourse to a new low. Donald Trump is a the kid who didn’t read the book who is trying to bluff his way through the oral book report in front of the whole class.

The attacks on wives of candidates, celebrities, and people in the media are distraction techniques that are intended to shift the subject away from Trump’s lack of qualifications to be president.

The Donald Trump presidential campaign/reality show has grown boring and tiresome. If Republicans don’t lower the curtain on Trump, voters will pull the plug on him in November.
