I love this quote because he said it at a critical juncture in SCIE's history. This was when the company really began to gain focus. And even though this quote is 7 years old, its important to remember medical devices can take decades to go from rough draft to actual usage in the field.
I also believe SCIE has the opportunity to take the lead in this field. There are tons of competition out there, but SCIE holds the patents and is at the forefront of the game while everyone else is trying to copy their model.
'Technology detection' truly is the wave of the future, and although currently, this technology is 'new', soon it will become the standard.
Anyone remember when you first bought your coveted Apple II for $1,300? It had a whopping 128KB worth of RAM.
I bet you wouldn't pay $5 for it today because the technology is obsolete, right? Same thing with our coveted new iPhone's. Give it 5 years, and your new, $600 phone will be worth less than a pinecone at a craft store.
Current colonoscopy methods are obsolete, old, tired, inaccurate, and time consuming. Try to tell a cancer patient, "Sir, while we do have a new technology called the WavSTAT4 which can detect possible cancer in one second, we would rather cut it out of you, send it to the labs, and in about a week or two we'll let you know the results".
Not going to happen. Old news, move over. The WavSTAT4 is coming through.
