this is normal trading for an OTC stock. one really has to understand if they are a real investor or a trader. if a real investor, this is a buying opportunity and one should consider buying in small blocks on the way down akin to sending x% of pay to a 401 to be invested every month. DCA is the foundation of 401s and you get more shares when it is low and less when it is high. if you are disciplined in the buying - you can make the same $$ buys and increase shares while it tanks.
fundamentally - has anything changed with the company since it was trading in the 3s or 4s? OS? revenues? prospects? capability? mgmt direction? etc? this ultimately drives the success of a startup company. if nothing has changed - why the panic/distress? if you are a trader - you should have gotten out when support broke the mid 3 range. charts dont mean a whole lot on stocks like this when there is low volume. doesnt mean a whole lot more when there is high volume unless there are a lot of traders actively discussing the stock and all using the same technicals to execute (which is where the wild swings/volatility comes into play in the OTC on high volume stocks - everyone using very similar buy/sell signals).
i have been buying since the low 5s and have increased my cost basis all the way down. i have that "luxury" but also believe there is real value/potential to the biz plan. i think Bill and team found an excellent niche that was underserved and their experience and ability to capitalize on that niche will be well rewarded. compensation is mostly forward bearing for those involved. he isnt taking exorbitant salary or constantly converting salary into shares and systematically dumping "to get paid" as is very common in this realm (i could list 20 tickers off the top of my head where the mgmt had a full time job filling out/filing Form 4s).
on a side note - the Harbin entity may just be an entity as a buffer/repository for shares but his wife/the entity is NOT free to buy and sell like us because she/the entity are by definition - insiders. spouses can not use the defense that they were completely unaware of what is going on in the company/that they never discuss with their spouse. that defense has been tried before in various fashions and always quickly quashed. it does provide a useful minority owned entity to drive those contracts needing to hit numbers (which is complete BS - the system is a ridiculous joke and only those on the left who are academic idealogues and NEVER been in industry think it really does anything to drive minority economic gains).
there remain a substantial shareholder base that has a large majority of the float locked up. this will be evident on the next run that more than likely will not be triggered by any news event but simple supply/demand moving the price up and certain technical indicators turning favorable bringing in the momo players. when it rockets up and everyone starts talking about the blue skies and potential - nothing will have changed in the company fundamentals and the price will come back down. hopefully, with a stronger, higher base. that is the way the market works. if that stresses you out or you are playing with money you cant afford to lose, or you are a trader that needs to protect capital to drive income, then you shouldnt be in this or certainly shouldnt be holding.
bill has made it clear in any public event (CC, updates, etc) that they have a very long term horizon for this company and it is NOT for traders. it took them years for the NAVAIR certification with the full understanding there would be nothing but expenses and costs for years. now that they are on the verge of capitalizing on that investment and the market is taking advantage of it - you want to panic sell because the chart is breaking down technically...? know what you own. dont invest what you cant afford to lose. and understand your true investment profile (long or short term investor and risk profile).
now - if anyone has a good book to explain the above to my wife, let me know...
