That thumbs up/down feature is not helpful, in my opinion. Frankly I don't care whether those people give my posts a thumb up or down, as far as I'm concerned they can put their thumbs where the sun don't shine. So I just ignore the thumbs things.
If others agree that the feature is just a distraction, I'd suggest they post that. The admins seem to read the posts as they come up in the "what's hot" feed. Or you can search IH Admin in the members, and PM them. They want to make the site work for us and they'll take it seriously.
