It's a classic set of tactics:
1) Allow inflammatory and off-topic posting from bashers/anti-ticker, punish the same for pumpers/pro-ticker, and create a false atmosphere of negativity. Further punish people that grow irritated and outraged over the obvious bias.
2) Bashers/anti-ticker people send extremely inflammatory PMs, as they all have premium accounts. Many people cannot respond in kind, nor report them with any effectiveness. They're forced to respond in public, which then gets punished.
3) Pumpers/Pro-ticker are eventually heavily restricted and/or banned with visible justification. What's left out is the heavy manipulation that got many posters to that point.
4) Board dies, bashers/anti-tickers lose interest and essentially declare victory. The rest of us are forced to go elsewhere.
5) Fuck Ihub.
Many stocks don't have that degree of coordinated bashing, and so they can continue discussing, arguing, etc. CRGP was a very weird case where the entire D&D team from Ihub decided to swarm and set up shop.
