my dad was a super for a construction co iin Chicago from the late 40's
through the early 60's. Master carpenter with a 8th grade education. Size 17 ring finger. Could driive a 16 penny nail in one stroke. He got things done
in a very rough town.
Sometime in the early 60's we moved after some Chicago. thug
pull the master pin on a 4 story scaffolding my dad was on. He servived the
4 story fall. I can assure you the guy that pulled the pin is
buried in concrete in one of the building north of Chicago.
Then moved to later work for a DOD contractor...He had
no problem getting super top secret clearance during the 60''s' when other couldn't
