So 'good info.' notwithstanding, unpersuasive?

I believe based upon the many emails I receive from 'conservatives' that they are often projecting their feelings that the US is a laughing stock, but there is NEVER evidence provided to support having those feelings.

Sh*t happens in the world and much of it is beyond our control or our ability to deter. 9/!! was not 'deterred'. Neither was the bombing of the Marine barracks in Beirut during the Reagan administration.

Not too long after Dubya remarked that 'he looked into Putin's eyes and saw his soul'. Puty invaded Georgia.....the country, not the Peach State.

Iran proceeded enriching uranium and N. Korea f*cked around much like now. I don't remember Dems, OR especially Republicans, taking any of that as evidence that the U.S was a 'laughing stock', much less weak.

Osama bin Laden and thousands of Drone struck terrorists, decidedly, are not laughing either.

There is some clinical evidence to support my belief that conservatives are more prone to fear, insecurity, projection and hyperbole.

Apparently that's just the way that so many of them are 'wired'!

Peering inside the brain with MRI scans, researchers at University College London found that self-described conservative students had a larger amygdala than liberals. The amygdala is an almond-shaped structure deep in the brain that is active during states of fear and anxiety.

Liberals had more gray matter at least in the anterior cingulate cortex, a region of the brain that helps people cope with complexity.
