This post is NOT investment advice.
All investors (including myself) have expectations for their stocks. We obviously want the price to go up in order to make a profit. The major difference between wildly successful investors and investors that never make a profit is whether or not they base their investments off of research or off of their expectations.
Regarding SCIE and the upcoming 10K, whenever a company is about to release something important such as a 10K, the buzz around the board focuses on the 10K.
Posters may write:
"What will it say?"
"Will it include sales?"
"How bad is the debt?"
"What are they doing to get rid of the debt?"
"What are their plans for the next year?"
These, and more, are common questions investors ask prior to the release of the 10K. Its pretty much the focal point for the board. And yet, the second the 10K is released to the public on or around March 30th, something strange happens.. and I can almost guarantee it will happen with SCIE..
Suddenly, almost as if the MIB Neuralyzer was used on the entire board, everyone stops talking about the 10K. No one cares about the 10K, everyone forgets the 10K was even talked about for the past month, and probably 97% of all investors never read the 10K in its entirety (its probably more like 99%).
To prove my point, go to any other stock board here. Find the time when a 10K was released and notice how few investors actually talk about it in depth after its release. Maybe 3 or 4 people at most.
Although I haven't been able to figure out exactly why this occurs, I'm convinced (my opinion) the reason this happens is because most investors simply don't care about the 10K or what it says. Its too 'long' and 'boring'. Many investors simply want to make a 'million dollars', sell, and live the good life. And who wouldn't? But in reality, to make that much money, it takes work, patience, knowing what you hold (by reading SEC filings in their entirety), when to buy, hold, and sell (and when I say sell, I mean selling even if its at a loss in order to prevent a total loss of your investment instead of holding on all the way down to 0001; my opinion).
I can sort of, kinda, possibly, perhaps show this in an example:
We know the 10K has become the hot topic in the boards. Yet, (not judging, simply stating what is clearly present) how many posts of actual DD can be found? I'm not talking about, "This is going to explode" or "Powerhour coming!" or "To the moon". I mean actual posts showing actual DD? Maybe 4 to 5 people at most out of a board that has hundreds of followers.
So the question arises, why is this? And its not just on SCIE's board. It's everywhere. 4 to 5 people do the majority of the work and when 'not so good news' shows up, or a boring 10K is released showing no sales, the 'silent hundreds' who never post suddenly wake from their slumber and begin bombarding the board with reasons why the company is going to fail and how management 'led them astray'.
So to answer your question as best I can (my opinion), from an online board perspective (not for a serious, individual investor), the 10K and its content will not matter because even if sales are shown, people will complain, "Only ONE sale???" Or if five sales are shown, people will complain, "Only FIVE sales???" Or when people read the debt SCIE still has, the debt will become the focal point. Or if we have no sales, oh man, imagine the backlash even though no one forced anyone to invest in SCIE in the first place.
Even if the 10K doesn't show a sale, the fact that the WavSTAT4 is FDA and CE approved, they have ongoing studies where actual, living, breathing people have had the wavSTAT4 forceps up their bum, its in at least 5 countries being tested; the Netherlands is more than interested in it, Spain has a Pentax facility able to sell the product in that region, the company just acquired oncoscope (why spend money on a company if SCIE was going out of business), there is a PMA in the works right now, its on the German and Italy PENTAX website, we know its SCIEs goal to market it in Europe first, which is happening, and then the US, which is happening, the device is listed on countless other websites, its been researched by some of the top leaders in the industry, the list goes on and on.
I don't need a 10K to show sales, but until I read the 10K showing 'no sales', ill continue to believe otherwise.
