U need to see if you can still get tickets if you're going to go to the event, but you can always sign up for bar events for free.
The biggest problem is finding a hotel, they usually are all sold out. Great experience if you want to go party downtown just for a day. Parking will be hell. You'll need to walk or Uber from your hotel, even if you're miles away.
