On your point, up above the stickies, there's a "view all posts" selection.
If I have not logged into the board in a few hours, which is rare, seeing several posts, I select view all posts to skim thru all at a glance, saves lots of time to catch up, or skip past what I might not care to read in detail.
It's a handy feature, especially on heavy post traffic times, or for those who only drop in 1 or 2 times a week.
Down the road, I predict many people will need to do this to stay up to speed on what's going on.
