I got this from a website, but it is exactly what I think. Some may want to convince others to wait for r/s because they may be waiting for a buying opportunity. In reality, nobody knows what the pps will be pre r/s or post r/s. Fluctuations before? probably. Fluctuations after? probably. In theory nothing changes. Would I PURPOSELY wait to buy after the r/s if I was planning on buying more shares? No. Especially when many others say they will. I don't know who started the "wait till after the r/s to buy" idea. If everyone did that the demand would be higher post r/s as well as the pps. geeeeez. Some make something out of nothing ... nobody knows when the best time to buy will be. If you are planning on buying I'd say a little here, a little there, the r/s doesn't matter.
"You’ve probably heard of stocks splitting before and maybe you even have a friend who brags about one of their stocks that just split so you’re thinking of getting in on the action. So, is it better to buy a stock before it splits or after? Well, that is like asking, “Should I buy a 12″ pizza cut into 4 pieces or 8 pieces?” It is the same amount of pizza for the same price, just a different number of pieces."
