The man who told you Sarah Palin was ready to be a heartbeat away from the presidency is concerned that Donald Trump is not ready to be president. If this isn’t jumping the shark of scary, crazy candidates I’m not sure what is.
Valid criticisms or not, I won't blame Trump for getting upset about where some of it is coming from. Crank up the Tweets: #LOSERS!
After Picking Sarah Palin, Zero Credibility John McCain Jumps The Shark With Trump Attack
By Sarah Jones on Thu, Mar 3rd, 2016 at 1:40 pm
Senator John McCain (R-AZ), who as the 2008 Republican presidential nominee picked Sarah Palin as his running mate, slammed 2016 Republican presidential candidate front-runner Donald Trump over “Mr. Trump’s uninformed and indeed dangerous statements on national security issues.”
“I share the concerns about Donald Trump that my friend and former Republican nominee, Mitt Romney, described in his speech today,” McCain said in a statement.
“I would also echo the many concerns about Mr. Trump’s uninformed and indeed dangerous statements on national security issues that have been raised by 65 Republican defense and foreign policy leaders,” McCain, who is the Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, continued.
“At a time when our world has never been more complex or more in danger, as we watch the threatening actions of a neo-imperial Russia, an assertive China, an expansionist Iran, an insane North Korean ruler, and terrorist movements that are metastasizing across the Middle East and Africa, I want Republican voters to pay close attention to what our party’s most respected and knowledgeable leaders and national security experts are saying about Mr. Trump, and to think long and hard about who they want to be our next Commander-in-Chief and leader of the free world.”
Yes, indeed. Think long and hard about who you want to be your next C-I-C, so says the man who was outraged that people were concerned that Sarah Palin appeared to know next to nothing about world affairs after she told Katie Couric that she knew what was going on because of Alaska’s proximity to Russia. Palin said bizarrely, “Putin rears his head and comes into the air space of the United States of America.”
As the McCain team tried to bring Palin up to speed on basic world events and situations, she fell into a “catatonic stupor”. So Trump is worse than a catatonic stupor.
Sarah Palin thought the Queen and not the PM was responsible for the decision to keep British forces in Iraq.
Palin said of North Korea, “But obviously, we’ve got to stand with our North Korean allies. We’re bound to by treaty. And we’re also bound by prudence to stand with our South Korean allies, yes.”
The man who told you Sarah Palin was ready to be a heartbeat away from the presidency is concerned that Donald Trump is not ready to be president. If this isn’t jumping the shark of scary, crazy candidates I’m not sure what is.
When John McCain warns that a Republican is “uninformed” on national security issues, people should listen because his bar is really low.
In fact, it could be argued that McCain picking Palin opened the door for Trump.
