The Sprocket is the navigational tool in iWebGate's proprietary container technology, which resolves major problems for enterprise and government agencies of all sizes
IRVINE, Calif., March 3, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Ubiquity Inc. (UBIQ) ("UBIQUITY" or the "Company" , a vertically integrated, technology-focused media company, has announced that its licensee: iWebGate Limited through Sprocket HK Ltd., has been cited as a case study by the Australian Government, and Department of Defense. The 2016 Defense Industry Policy Statement titled: "Business and Government working together for success," states:
"The business (iWebGate)'s potential and the significance of its technology for both commercial and Defense applications was recognized and it was agreed to pursue parallel and complementary paths of assistance for the company. iWebGate continues to receive strong and ongoing support from the Australian Government as it enters into a new stage of business growth and international commercialization."
At the same time iWebGate has begun to distribute Ubiquity's Sprocket through its mobile containers.
"Ubiquity's Sprocket brings an ease of use and experience to iWebGate's security platform by creating a user interface with a single sign on access point. The Sprocket in iWebGate's container will be commercialized on a per user based revenue model. The Sprocket platform now has a wide range of opportunity with its ability as Mobile as a Service ("MaaS" and Software as a Service ("SaaS" to enable its customers of all sizes to be scalable and deliver the best possible experience to both the network and the end user," stated Ubiquity's CEO Chris Carmichael.
iWebGate's software technology is solving these problems:
1. The Virtual Services Platform (VSP) is made available for organizations of all sizes including government agencies. The VSP fortifies networks better by quickly and easily establishing a secure network environment around an organization's entire range of networks to deal with in-bound and out-bound attacks.
2. The Virtual Invisible Network (VIN) delivers better performance and overcomes the numerous security and functional shortfalls associated with traditional Virtual Private Network (VPN) technologies.
3. The Virtual Application Container (VAC) establishes a secure container on PC, Laptop, Tablet and Smartphone devices. The container is an isolated place where an application can run without affecting the rest of the system and without the system affecting the applications. This is where the user experience comes to life.
"We are delighted to co-announce our work with Ubiquity (California, USA) and their Sprocket technology. It makes the user experience of our technology completely engaging to the point they don't even know top level Fortune 500 security capacity is working underneath the Sprocket. Including the Sprocket as part of our user interface and single-sign-on experience adds an exciting dimension to our container technology. When used in combination, iWebGate's three abstraction layers create an advanced delivery platform. This platform intensifies the way enterprise solutions are delivered across networks, with security being a standout feature. The team at iWebGate remains focused on delivering to market through its strategic partners," stated Tim Gooch, iWebGate's CEO.
