I heard a radio story a while back discussing drug trials and the power of the placebo effect. If I recall correctly Psoriasis was one of the many because environmental factors like stress can actually affect the severity of an outbreak. So when a patient thinks that they are getting treated it diminishes some of those stress hormones and actually clears them up a bit. I wish I can remember what program it was I was listening too. It has been a few months.
That said; I have confidence that P is working. I just hope that it is working "greater than or equal to a 2-point improvement in Investigator's Global Assessment (IGA) rating".
Exciting to also read the statement: "Should the trial be a success, our plan is to seek a partnership through discussions with parties that have previously shown interest in Prurisol." I like that part a lot!! Who doesn't want to be a partner with an ORALLY administered psoriasis drug? That is the holy grail. I know people with psoriasis and they HATE putting the creams and gels on themselves. It is time intensive, gets on clothing, has various smells, and is just an overall pain. I'd take a pill over a topical any day of the week!
