Quite the deductive leap from my original post, which stated nothing relative to the 'wealthy', or corporations, or just deserts. The fact remains, there is no 'free' education, because someone or somebody will foot the bill.
To reduce it to the simplest level, if someone promises you a free education, and then forces me to pay the bill, it isn't free - not to me at least. Free education, free healthcare, free housing.....none of that exists. It's a different case to state that government ought to provide these things to those who cannot otherwise afford it. That would be the start of an honest discussion on the merits (or failings) of that philosophy. However, anyone claiming to provide these things 'freely' is being duplicitous, dishonest, and disingenuous.
