I worked for Donald Trumps Father once. And Donald Trump once told me, If I EVER NEEDED ANYTHING Just give him a call!
Not joking here. REALLY! The only problem is it was over 40 years ago.
Who knew over 40 years ago I was standing next to and talking to who could become the next President on the United States. WOW!
So I know a few secrets about the Trump Family!
Just how THIN SKIN IS DONALD TRUMP? His skin is VERY THICK. I asked him who in the heck he through he was walking around my BUILDING LIKE HE OWNED THE PLACE! Then I laughed at him for dressing like his father! THAT RED TIE THING! IT IS HIS FATHER's TRUMP TRADE MARK! I confess I wanted to look like Fred Trump too. Once you met Mr Fred C. Trump. YOU WILL NEVER FORGET HIM.. He REALLY DID TALK THE TALK AND WALKED THE WALK. AND LOOKED LIKE A MILLION DOLLARS. Yet would sit in the BOILER ROOM and have lunch with his employees. like PAINTERS, MAIDS, YARD WORKERS. He was always in touch.
Much more to this story! But to keep it short. DONALD WAS COOL! After I found out he did indeed own my Building, or his father, And he BUSTED ME FOR FRYING HOT DOGS in his BUILDING! And I was this rude kid who felt like I JUST LOST MY JOB WHEN HE TOLD ME " I'M DONALD TRUMP".
And DONALD SAID " RELAX YOUR WITH FAMILY? "
After a tense few minutes he was just a normal nice as can be person. As we looked across the water he was very excited about building's and building them. He had me convinced he was going to buy the building across the water way and change it.
Then he said LOOK, IF YOU EVER NEED ANYTHING AT ALL CALL ME!
And DONALD TRUMPS FATHER. This man "TRUMPS FATHER" walks into a Airport and meets a man he never met before. The man was homeless. out of work and sleeping at the airport. Fred takes him with him right there on the spot and puts him on the plane with him. FLY'S to NORFOLK VA. Set's him up with a nice apartment and gives him the keys to the building. As General Manager to operate it for him. WITH A OPEN BANK ACCOUNT! "BLANK CHECK" To boot
LEO, Was his name.
I THINK A LOT OF TRUMPS FATHER! AND LEO SCREWED HIM OVER. But I had a good time. Leo was buying boats, High Dollar CAR's gave us all rises. He let me drive the cars and boats and pretty much gave me anything I asked for. Even gave me a Apartment for free. I was just a young kid. What did I know.
Well it lasted about two months. FRED was upset. And NOT HAPPY. And I was upset with Mr. TRUMP! For firing by buddy LEO! But Mr Trump did not take back anything LEO gave me. Even my Apartment that was RENT FREE!
So I'm riding on the elevator with Fred. He looks over and tells me. I'm always willing to provide opportunities for anyone . BUT THEY WILL ONLY CROSS ME ONCE!
I wish folks could meet FRED C. TRUMP. He was a FANTASTIC PERSON.
The point was he provided Leo with a fantastic job and set him up. and all LEO had to do was make sure everybody was doing their job.
But Leo wanted to be a PLAYBOY on Mr. Trumps dime. I also liked TRUMPS father because he always sent special Christmas gifts to people who crossed him. You knew where you stood with MR TRUMP.
THE GIFT WRAPPED TOILET SEAT! NO JOKING! If his Managers or BANKERS SCREWED UP. They got a TRUMP TOILET SEAT. GIFT WRAPPED! For Christmas. That was their bonus! And yet another TRUMP TRADE MARK.
There is so much more to the Trump Family. They are good folks and hard workers.
DONALD TRUMPS BARK IS MUCH BIGGER THEN HIS BITE! He likes to get it done. Knows how to cut corners. I have another story about that. TRUST ME THEY ARE SMART PEOPLE! You would not believe what they did to this building to make it look GREAT! And the folks who lived there fell for it. I must say it did indeed really look good!
And no DONALD TRUMP he does not JUMP and fly off the handle nor is he a loose cannon! They do expect a job well done. And Fully expect to get what they pay for. AND PAYMENT ALWAYS GOOD AS GOLD. To their workers and contractors. They always got paid first!
. It's been over 40 years ago that I talked with him. And yes he will remember me.
