I don't think it's apples to apples compared to the former situation. They know that Brad has a tremendous amount of documentation, and it would be foolhardy to sit on response to Baltia now. If they pause, this will hit a lot of television screens very fast (probably will anyway). They're going to think of how they want to be presented when that happens... Partners in corruption or Defenders of justice? Their choice.
Essentially, we had no leverage before, so what did they care about our wait? It's quite different now, in my opinion. If they do, for some miraculous reason sit on a response, the gloves will probably come off from a PR standpoint. That is a terrible scenario for them, and one I imagine they will seek to avoid.
