If it were the intent of the FAA to shut Baltia do
Post# of 41413
Baltia made their presentation to the FAA on December 16th, exactly 2 months ago.
"No" is a very easy answer. It is simple and without any complications.
"Yes", on the other hand, is complicated by levels of how strong of a yes can the FAA give. Do they grant a Pass (as they truly should) on mini #3 in which one of the inspectors made an error and delayed putting an "X" over the door in a timely mannner (resulting in 6 slides being deployed - which he admitted to that fault in writing, and 32 out of 33 inspectors voted to judge the mini as a pass - with just the Chief Inspector saying no), or do they judge #7 as a Pass, since the slide that twisted like a pretzel occurred because of improper strap routing INSIDE the slide (nothing that Baltia could have known about or seen), or do they ask for a controlled deployment of the now replaced "pretzel" slide, or some other do-able request?
And how many......what percent....of the inspectors have to give a "yes" in order for the mini to be passed? 32 out of 33 is as close to 100% as you can get if 100% is not attainable.
No matter how you look at it, a "Yes" is coming............its just not certain how strong of a "Yes" they will receive......or when.
Keep the pressure up on the politicians guys. Calls to them will result in calls to the FAA, and let's hope someone in the FAA still has a pair of balls to step up to the forefront and do the right thing!
