"With the upcoming R/S in mind, would you recommend I buy $5,000 worth of shares now or after the split?"...the 1st thing I need to make clear is that investment advice from me is pretty much useless. Like someone else on this board (I don't recall who), stock price on anything I buy tends to drop as soon as I buy.
I will make a comment or 2 though.
Ive owned several stocks that underwent reverse splits and all of them tanked. All of them were already in trouble and the R/S just continued the slide.
NTEK, on the other hand, is a growing company generating substantial revenue. I am optimistic the R/S will be one of several things (along with the PR last week + the quarterly report due tomorrow) that will begin to stabilize things and hopefully signal the start of our share price heading back in the right direction. But who knows when. Maybe soon, but maybe not.
I am probably going to wait until after the split to get a feel for how things are shaping up before taking my next step.
But again: Ive made plenty of wrong investment decisions, so please do not regard my comments as investment advice.
Go NTEK.
Cheers, judgesmails
