"The Coates CSRV system has been fitted into a Mercedes 380SE vehicle which has been registered on the US roads for more than ten years and passed the state inspection tests every year. No oil changes or servicing were required or undertaken to that engine and the vehicle is still operational today."
According to information sent to me from Coates, when George started testing the CSRV engines in the early 90's, he asked the EPA for information on where Coates could have engines and vehicles independently tested. At that time, the EPA recognized only one independent testing lab in New Jersey. That testing facility was COMPLIANCE AND RESEARCH SERVICES, INC(CARS). That is where Coates had most of their independent EPA tests carried out. The PR above does not say who did the testing but I think it was likely done by this same company.
In 1992 Coates registered a 1984 Mercedes, 4DR model, engine serial number WDB12602212074483 according to the New Jersey registration receipt which I have a copy. This same serial number is shown on the test data that Coates published years ago. That means the vehicle tested was driven for approximately 13 years before the CSRV conversion was done. Remarkable.
Maybe someone else can interpret the emissions test data from CARS.
