(NYSE MKT: MSTX), a biopharmaceutical company developing novel, clinical-stage therapies for sickle cell disease and heart failure, today announced that it intends to offer shares of common stock and warrants to purchase common stock in an underwritten public offering. The offering is subject to market and other conditions, and there can be no assurance as to whether or when the offering may be completed, or as to the actual size or terms of the offering.
Roth Capital Partners is acting as sole manager for the proposed offering.
Mast Therapeutics intends to use the net proceeds from the offering primarily to fund its clinical development programs of vepoloxamer in sickle cell disease and vepoloxamer and AIR001 in heart failure, for regulatory, manufacturing and other commercial-readiness activities for vepoloxamer in sickle cell disease, and for working capital and general corporate purposes.
