I'm sympathetic to not raising it to the same everywhere, but let's not exaggerate either the proposal or the possible effects.
Notice a lower number phased in for four years from whenever it's passed.
What is most often overlooked is the FACT that Wal Mart INSRUCTS it's employees on how to apply for SNAP and other Federal support, rather than pay a wage that would disqualify
those employees.
Other companies don't even 'help' that much, but their employees qualify for SNAP.
Why should our tax dollars subsidize company profits by allowing Federal aid to their workers?
