On a now-defunct message board years ago, a guy who I had found to be reliable PM'ed me that he'd been a junior trader for a market maker when he was young. He said that sometimes they would just get bored so they would manipulate the stock price just to see if they could get anyone to sell, or buy, depending on which way they manipulated it.

So some of our baby bears may just be toying with us. hahahahaha
