In my 2 plus dozen trips to the Hawaiian Islands, both business and pleasure, mostly the Big Island, where we owned a place, the BIG Island Boyz, who I got to know over 3 decades, said this...."the mainland lacks island justice. We have that here, you do too, but more places to hide, takes longer, but justice is eventually done."

Yup, the mainland is slow, but it happens.
