Like that one...however You can't make that stuff up...or can you???
The only thing Christian out there is the electorate...about 76% of the United States all with differing views...so controlling the electorate controls the agenda and at times those in power get supreme court picks and or other courts picks in lesser courts. There opinions can control the interpretation of the law. Yes, no litmus test...or is there? So you have the battle of separation of Church from State...with your religious twist.
Conspiracy Theory though...Kings were controlled by Catholic Church, Protestant heretics to the Catholic Church broke, they were called Pilgrims. When they broke from the Church they sailed to Plymouth in 1620 to form a new nation with religious freedom from the Church of England and Catholic Church. 1776 after many struggles they founded a new Nation. Catholic Church has been trying to infiltrate the leadership through the electorate of this new nation ever since with the Jesuits of which Pope Francis is. Supposedly a Jesuit can not be Pope. So some believe he is the Anti Pope. To end all.
Might have been different time different faiths for some, depending on location. My experience around 1970 the Catholic Church tried to infiltrate my public school and tried to force all kids to learn Catholic Catholicism...at some point religion was banned from public schools from those attempts to indoctrinate public school children. Thus we don't have prayer or the pledge in school any longer... You can come up with the court ruling etc...
