John Rolfe and Pocahontas are grand parents as well as William Brewster...so I guess you are wrong on that point
However the point is...
It is good to know you roots and foundation. Most American's don't, which might attribute to the disregard to this nation moral fiber over the years.
Myself I has earned and lost everything twice in a lifetime and not from lack of effort or laziness. So I know the bottom and the top.
Ear ring...Well, sometime you just have to say screw it. Divorced women wear their wedding rings on their middle finger. I don't find that is out of respect, after 30 years. It did take 53 years to do it...So there you go. It's my wedding ring and I wear it proudly every time I am around my ex. Retired so I don't have to impress anyone of importance any longer. It does open the door that would otherwise be closed in public as a clean up pretty well...and people think untouchable until they see my ear ring. You should try it...it brings up interesting conversations.
