The primary reason for enrolling beyond the targeted number is to insure that you reach the endpoint of the trial with at least your originally targeted number of patients. We need for those enrolled in the trial to come back for that last checkup even though they completed the treatment portion of the trial several weeks prior. So the enrollment of an additional 15 patients is a way of making sure that at least 100 complete all the requirements of the trial.
