Are you sure the folks who oppose Obama's overreac

The important take away from all of the poles, last night's results in Iowa and all of the campaigning is that there are no unified voices in the Republican party. There are lots of opinions, ideas and, from the data last night, lots of new faces in that party. Just because Trump is running as a republican and 24% of those folks who went out to caucus last night support him, does not mean that the 150M Republicans in this country support him. that 24% represents just 43k.
Finally, as I recall, it was folks in the tea party movement that opposed Obama's overreach the most, followed by many other republicans and certainly many Democrats as well (although I don't think they were very LOUD about their opposition. Such is politics.)
According to various reports, the folks that support Trump are not typically "tea party" folks. They hard working Americans that have been hurt by the egregious actions of this government over the past few decades that have left this country in mountains of debt, middle class wages in decline and our position in the world fading. They feel that no matter who they vote for, we get the same crap, year after year. I certainly empathize with their position and I pray that we find our footing soon.
I am fortunate enough to have made many bad choices over the years and learned very important lessons along the way. As a republican, I am personally very happy with the plethora of candidates that we get to choose from. it is unfortunate that our friends from the other side of the isle don't have more variety in their selection. I suspect it is just as well, given that the likelihood of a member of the incumbent party would win this coming presidential race. Perhaps their best candidates are waiting until 2020?
Just my humble opinion.
Great to be an American!
