In my opinion he blew it by trying to compete against the last debate, with his fund raiser. I think he was perceived disingenuous by voters at that point. Trump still has a good chance to win the election.

After all he's not the first president to skip the last debate.

I'm not comparing Trump to Reagan, but his chances are still very good. Will we see a Trump / Cruz ticket?
