Where did the Feds get the authority to claim public lands for their control? The federal government has no right to lands that fall within a state's border unless the state agrees to it.
You had the Homestead Acts-circa 1862 and beyond(law)
You had the Federal Land Policy and Management Act-1976(law)
You had the Energy Policy Act of 2005.(law)
Do you think Trump would put a stop to any more laws being put into place? Because that is the main issue. He actually wants to bring in more..ie...the "Muslim" thing. The people have lost control of their managers. Then again........that may be an argument for Trump and Sanders. I always ask my nutty right wing friends, nutty left wing friends, nutty libertarian friends ...and all the rest.....this:
"You live on a street and you have neighbors....out of the group running...or out of the past... who would be(or would have been) good neighbors?"
Then go from there.
ps..just so you know.....we're all a bit nuts...eh?
