#1 Coates says he is waiting on parts. We are not talking 5,000 sets. We are talking TWO sets of parts. If these are very high tech and "special" parts that can't be sold to anyone else his vendor may be balking at cranking up production for such a small order. He may be waiting for an opportune time to run the job with similar parts to control manufacturing cost. (could it be has heard the same promise of millions of parts for as long as we have and he no longer jumps through hoops)
#2 Coates could also be COD with his supplier because he has unpaid invoices for past deliveries. The parts wont ship until the account is settled. Money woes are always a problem for startups especially for one that has dragged out as long as this one.
#3 A combination of 1 & 2
#4 Patience Grasshoppers. . . The problem has never been what George has claimed.
I think he will eventually receive the parts and ship by the end of the first quarter. We are still years not months away from making a profit on this stock in my opinion. (and it's still a very long shot)
I have't been following this stock near as long as most of you guys. It's refreshing to hear honest discussion of your thoughts, doubts and your reason for optimism. I have no inside knowledge about Coates. Like most of you I heard about it from a person I have a lot of respect for and am intrigued with the possible upside.
