more effective is to copy and paste their posts in your reply and demand that they support/back up their claims with substantive arguments. if they do not or refuse to, inform them that their posts will be deleted and they will be banned. do it publicly so that all readers will see that they are being given ample and objective opportunity to state a position and defend/refute it.
i have been deleted and threatened with expulsion from iHub for asking posters to publicly disavow themselves of any relationships/proceedings/business dealings/etc with the company or the lenders. posts get immediately deleted and warnings from administrators. on Yahoo - they simply ignore them and go away and then come back later. generally speaking, these groups are sophisticated and know the boundaries and lines of criminal and civil infractions and have well calculated their risks of being exposed/caught vs the rewards. however, publicly lying about ones relationship to willfully manipulate a security is Securities Fraud and will be pursued by the SEC - not by a cash strapped company fighting for survival. this is why they refuse to do so on Yahoo and simply delete the posts on iHub
with that being said - give them the opportunity and copy and past their original post you are responding to so that future readers can see the actual post you are responding to and then WHY they were subsequently deleted/banned.
