xMatters, inc. Tops the List for Fortune and Great Place to Work(R) 2016 Best Workplaces in Technology in Medium Company Category

SAN RAMON, CA--(Marketwired - Jan 27, 2016) - xMatters, inc. , a leader in communication-enabled business processes, today announced it is one of the 2016 Ten Best Medium Workplaces in Technology , according to the global research and consulting firm Great Place to Work and Fortune Magazine.

xMatters ranked #1 on the list, a ranking determined by the Great Place to Work's Trust Index© Employee Survey. As part of the survey, xMatters employees anonymously answered 58 questions about how frequently they experience the behaviors that create a great workplace. Companies achieving the highest overall results in their size categories were ranked based on this data.

"To have a successful business, you start with the customer in mind. Then you need to find intelligent people who want to create a great company, an outstanding product, and a workplace culture based on core values. At xMatters, each person has unlimited opportunities to grow, achieve and participate in a supportive, happy and healthy environment. We have a serious job to do, but we don't take ourselves too seriously," said Troy McAlpin, CEO of xMatters, inc. "We are honored to be included in Fortune's 2016 Best Medium Workplaces in Technology list -- it's a true testament to each xPert on the team who makes xMatters the awesome company it is today."

xMatters was selected based on evaluations by over 48,000 randomly selected employees from 155 participating companies in the technology sector. Survey results achieved a 95 percent confidence level and a margin of error of five percent or less. The total score for each company was determined entirely by employee feedback.

"The perks and benefits the best technology companies are known for are just what outsiders looking in get dazzled by," says Chinwe Onyeagoro, a business strategy expert and EVP of U.S. Consulting at Great Place to Work. "This can be a false positive of sorts. These companies are great because they invest in trust. They stand on trust. They use trust as a competitive differentiator. They know that to be great you have to invest in better relationships -- not in more things. Simply investing in this will not create a Great Place to Work."

The Best Workplaces in Technology ranking is one of a series of rankings by Great Place to Work and Fortune based upon employee survey feedback from Great Place to Work certified organizations.

xMatters' award-winning cloud platform accelerates business processes through intelligent communication. The technology pinpoints and proactively alerts the individuals, teams and external service providers required to work together to quickly manage any business scenario along with resolving incidents, such as service disruptions and technical issues that interrupt the flow of day-to-day operations.
