Soon, the first 4K Roku TV made in collaboration with TCL will hit the stores and the new device will support voice search capabilities and the Roku Feed alert system.
First, users can now select from a list of movies they want to watch— even if they are still in the theaters or haven’t been released on video yet—and add them to a personal feed that updates four times a day.
During these updates, Roku checks to see if any of the movies have become available, and if they have, notifies the user. By the same token, the Roku feed also has its users’ pocketbook in mind. When the feed is updated, Roku always present users with a list of places the movie is available for watching in order from lowest to highest priced. If, during the course of the day or week, one of those streaming movies goes down in price, Roku will notify you of the better price. For the cord cutting generation, this is one feature of the new Roku feed that should be very appealing.
