EXSFF....Another interesting week is brewing, with gold up $10USD as I create this posting. I continue to restlessly await the Teck assay results of the pre Christmas strategic drilling at Timmins Porcupine West. Apparently, we’re close! I’m very confident Teck will continue with a more aggressive program in this new year. With little hope for either coal, or copper, and tremendous pressure from shareholders, what choice do they have??
Explor’s contractor is on the Kidd property, adjacent to the Glencore mine, continuing work on an access road to support the drilling equipment, slated for arrival as soon as possible. I’m hearing much of the recent buying in the market is friends and associates in the Timmins area, intrigued by the new signage on the site, visible from the highway, and the anticipated Glencore reaction.
By now, Glencore Security officials have reported to Glencore site management, in turn to Corporate Management of the work underway next door. What an unwanted conundrum for them? What to do…How to react? They have so much at stake, and so much invested in the mine’s future, surely they have to do something. Like a great game of chess, it will be interesting to watch how this situation develops.
