In order to address customer interest, Nasdaq will focus on Futures Contracts as the primary product for German Power. Effective Monday February 1, 2016, Market Makers on Nasdaq Commodities will move all quotations for German Electricity DS Future Contracts to Futures Contracts.
The clearing fee for German Electricity Future Contracts was set to 0.0045 EUR/MWh January 1, 2016. Participants who wish to move open interest from DS Futures to Futures Contracts will be given free trading and clearing fee for German Electricity DS Futures/Futures standard combination orders (COMBOs), effective February 1until April 29, 2016. The free trading and clearing fee will automatically apply for trading in the Electronic Trading System ETS/MTS. For Block and EFS/EFP Trade Registration a separate Trade Reporting Type will be made available in due time.
Customers with open interest in German Electricity DS Futures Contracts will be unaffected as the mentioned contracts will continue to be listed for trading and clearing at Nasdaq Commodities.
