Position Overview:
The technician will be working as part of the Instrument Manufacturing team to assemble and assist in troubleshooting Great Basin Medical Device instrumentation. This position reports to the Director of Instrument Manufacturing.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes and procedures
Assemble electromechanical subassemblies, products or systems of medical instrumentation
Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions
Test embedded instrument software
Be self-motivated and proactive in completing assigned tasks and identifying unacceptable conditions
Be an enthusiastic, reliable, strong team player
Comply with policies, guidelines and regulatory requirements per the Quality System
Perform mechanical and electrical testing of subassemblies & completed systems
Interact on a regular basis with engineers and instrument manufacturing personnel
Thrive in a highly dynamic multitasking medical device development and manufacturing environment
Flexibility in work schedule (occasional weekend or evening work) preferred
Skill Set:
Ability to work in a fast-paced development, engineering, and manufacturing environment
General experience working with computers and software
Experience with electromechanical assembly techniques and associated documentation preferred
Excellent attention to detail on repetitive tasks
Soldering experience strongly desired

High School Diploma, GED equivalent
Some college preferred
2+ years of medical instrument manufacturing experience preferred
Ability to read and comprehend procedures written in English
