Amazon Considers Bid for UK Online Retailer Ocado--Report

Ocado Group's (OCDO.LN) shares jumped Tuesday after the Daily Mail newspaper reported that Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN) is considering a tie-up with the U.K. online grocer.
Ocado shares were up 19% at 287.8 pence. Spokepeople for both companies said they don't comment on market rumor or speculation.
Amazon has recently moved into the U.K. food market with the launch of Amazon Pantry, selling a wide range of grocery and other household items.
