Opengear will be introducing the latest release in its Resilience Gateway product line, the ACM7004-5-LMx. Designed to provide greater functionality, more reliable network connectivity, and full IT resilience to retailers, the ACM7004-5-LMx features integrated serial, Ethernet, and USB interfaces. The solution takes advantage of Opengear's Smart OOB™ to provide intelligent, integrated out-of-band management for a retailer's entire IT infrastructure -- including switches, firewalls, routers, servers, power supplies, and environmental conditions (via DIO ports). The new Resilience Gateway oversees all networking hardware and automatically repairs or alerts administrators about potential outage-causing issues before they impact operations.
To maintain seamless connectivity at all retail locations even in the event of an outage, all Resilience Gateway products are equipped with Opengear's Failover to Cellular™ technology. This enables automated failover and failback to and from a high-speed 4G LTE cellular connection whenever primary connections experience an outage. Multi-carrier cellular support allows for carrier diversity and the ability to choose the cellular service provider best suited for each store or enterprise site. The Resilience Gateway is fitted with copper and fiber Ethernet ports for flexibility and longevity.
