Some previously healthy volunteers ended up brain dead or dying. What if that company had started with a much smaller dose, the way CTIX did? Maybe those people wouldn't have been injured or killed.
At the very end of the article they talk about another company that had similar problems with safety issues which put the company under. Now another company is trying their drug at much smaller doses and it seems to be safe and showing signs of efficacy. That's JUST LIKE the Brilacidin story -- it wasn't safe at large doses but it is in the doses CTIX is trying.
CTIX did the right thing starting with very low doses of Kevetrin.
