USAA Unveils Tampa Crosstown Campus TAMPA, Fla., J

TAMPA, Fla., Jan. 13, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- via PRWEB - USAA introduced its newest facility, Crosstown, during a ribbon-cutting ceremony today in Tampa. Named for its proximity to the nearby Crosstown Expressway, the structure covers more than 260,000 square feet stretched across four floors, and can seat nearly 1,200 employees. In anticipation of Crosstown, USAA has created more than 400 jobs since November 2013.

"Crosstown is something both we and the Tampa community can be proud of," said Yvette Segura, general manager of USAA's Tampa offices. "Our new facility strengthens our position to attract the best talent in the region and continue delivering on our mission to serve the financial needs of our members."

On-site employee amenities include a café, fitness center and health clinic with nurse practitioner. Employee rest areas and lounges, including a recreation and quiet room, are located throughout the building.

USAA announced expansion plans in the summer of 2013 as a result of recent and projected growth and broke ground on Crosstown construction in June 2014. Construction completed in October 2015.

Crosstown is USAA's second major facility in the area, and it will house a mix of financial services positions covering insurance, banking and mortgage. The original Commerce Park location in north Tampa opened in 1993. It will continue to house insurance and financial service functions including on-site wealth managers for face-to-face appointments with members.
