We simply shouldn't get too deep into politics or religious arguments on this board, but I'll share what I believe just once. Thing to remember is that bipartisan is the only answer to getting the right things done. Competing for power like our "leaders" do now just gets us knee-jerk, wasteful and non-majority interests served. Also keep in mind that the demography targeted consists of some very liberal minded folks. Staunch conservatives, though I love them when defending constitutional rights, aren't always looking to represent the majority of the working class taxpayers any more than any other lobbyist lovers locked in that power struggle. The money to be made (verses spent fighting it) and the mounting clinical findings providing evidence of major health benefits (opposite misinformation used for decades by huge, already established big money interests) is primarily what's speeding up the willingness of conservatives to bend to the public pressure for legalization of hemp and marijuana, not a tendency toward more liberal thinking. The very sickest sick in our government is the fact that those of us paying the majority of the tax revenue aren't fairly represented on capital hill. It's the 1%, and if you don't believe that then you definitely need to look deeper for the truth, and not from the giants in the news business, as they're also on the take. Money runs the machine boys and girls, make no mistake about it, and be very careful who you trust to represent your interests if you don't have lots of it.
