Thermo Fisher Scientific ($TMO) announced an agreement to buy Affymetrix (AFFX) for $14 per share in cash or about $1.3 billion in total. The target company, which generated annual revenues of $350 million, will be absorbed into Thermo Fisher’s Life Sciences Solutions Segment.
