I haven't been here in a long time, but I was following this closely from December 2013 - August 2015. Just recently caught up on what's been going on. There have been numerous documents available to the public for a long time. Each one was put on fitxlong website I believe. However, even back in late spring of 2014 when the build was complete documents were readily available that showed everything was in order. Correct permits were pulled and the build was done correctly. The town had completely signed off on this project and were there for the famous pictures and videos late 2013 to show support. There was no backlash on the project from the town until late summer/early fall 2014. A couple local residents said they had no idea about the project, which was BS. There were town hall meetings, Windsor news covered it, and the building was going up right before there eyes. However, they made no fuss until the pre-license inspection occurred. The town vote that was mentioned didn't happen until fall of 2014; after the warm welcome from the town, after correct permits were pulled, after inspectors had been to the site multiple times and had no issues. That's right, town and HC inspectors were well aware of what was going on and how it was being built. If anybody was following this back then, you would know that. Bill has a big mouth and pissed off the wrong people. This was an orchestrated effort to bring the project down. It's amazing that this is still being refuted. HC was fed wrong information. The town can't retroactively impose bylaws on that land, but they did. This is illegal in the U.S. and Canada. Emails sent back and forth from FITX to HC showed issued were fixed after the pre-licensed inspection; however, HC was either disregarding requests to come back out for another inspection, or to grant license. To say it's well documented that the permits were wrong is just untrue. Again, they were welcomed by the town, had full cooperation in the building phase, and inspectors (from the town) had visited the site. If there were permit issues, this would have been addressed in winter of 2014. I don't have a penny in FITX anymore, just wanted to set the record straight. This stock has been screwed by so many lies its unbelievable. However, again, Bill was very vocal about the project and should have been more reserved.
